Why do the readings differ when measuring the same spot?

For the same soil location, readings can vary due to differences in depth and contact with the soil. A recommended insertion depth is 12 cm for accurate results.
Why do the readings remain the same when measuring different spots?

Each measurement must be manually triggered. After inserting the probe into a new spot, press the "Measure" button again to start detection. Keep the device still for 8 seconds, then read the result once the numbers stabilize.
